Synopsis
Romy and her lover George flee a dying Earth to start over on Eden 17, a barren frontier planet, but George is killed in an accident soon after they land, leaving Romy alone and pregnant. She raises their son Cain with only a caretaker robot for company, then puts herself into cold sleep to stay alive for him, and a malfunction keeps her under for some 1,300 years.
