Synopsis
Kuroo Hazama, the brilliant unlicensed surgeon known as Black Jack, travels the world taking on medical cases too strange, dangerous, or hopeless for licensed hospitals, charging fees only the desperate would agree to. Scarred since childhood by an explosion, he works alongside his devoted assistant Pinoko and plays the part of a mercenary while quietly proving otherwise, case after case. The scrappy dog Largo, expanded from a single manga chapter, turns into a recurring presence across the series.
