Tama, a katawara who believes humans and her own kind can share a country, travels the Sengoku countryside with Jinka Yamato, the human she calls brother and who despises his own species. This special condenses the first arc, Yonaoshi Kyoudai-hen, into one episode: how the pair take in the timid swordsman Shinsuke Hyoudou, how their world-fixing crusade runs into warlords and slavers, and what they learn about the experiments that fuse humans and katawara.
