Taichi Yagami takes his V-Pet to a Digimon tournament and is thrown out because nobody can identify the monster running on it. Shortly afterwards he lands in the Digital World and meets that monster in person: Zeromaru, a Veedramon whose battle record alongside him stands at a hundred percent. Holy Angemon calls the pair in to defend the Digital World, and a Digimon named Gabo signs on as their guide. This Taichi shares a name and a face with the one from Digimon Adventure but belongs to a separate continuity.
