Taiki Kudou hears a Digimon called Shoutmon on the verge of dying and decides to help, which is how he, Akari Hinomoto and Zenjiro Tsurugi end up in the Digital World holding a Xros Loader. The device lets Taiki run DigiXros, fusing Ballistamon, Starmon and the Pickmons into new shapes against the Bagra Empire, while the rival teams Blue Flare and Twilight press claims of their own. This manga runs alongside the television series and takes a noticeably different route through the same setup.
