Shizuku Tsukishima gets one more story, set in the summer of her third year of middle school and drawn by Aoi Hiiragi six years after she closed the original Mimi wo Sumaseba. What Shizuku is going to do with herself is the question this time, rather than the library checkout cards and the antique shop that started the first book. The short ran in Ribon Original and was collected alongside a second piece, Kikyou no Saku Koro. It is a coda to Whisper of the Heart, not a retelling of it.
