In 2036 a nanomachine network keeps everyone alive, repairing injury and illness on demand, until a person's link to it breaks and the body turns into something called a Lost. Yozo Oba is pulled to that edge by the reckless Masao Horiki and comes out of the night able to fight the creatures instead of becoming one. This manga adapts the film Human Lost, which rebuilds Osamu Dazai's No Longer Human as science fiction.
