Kaoru Akashi, Aoi Nogami and Shiho Sannomiya get their television run condensed here: the special summarizes Zettai Karen Children from B.A.B.E.L.'s recruitment of the country's three strongest espers through the cases Kouichi Minamoto walks them through. It shipped with a limited edition of the manga as a preview of the OVA that followed, so it works as a catch-up piece rather than a new case.
