Daikichi Kawachi, a thirty-year-old bachelor, attends his grandfather's funeral only to discover the old man left behind a six-year-old daughter named Rin. When every relative refuses to take her in, embarrassed by the situation, Daikichi impulsively decides to raise her himself, despite having zero experience with children. His daily routine shifts to daycare drop-offs, parent-teacher meetings, and cooking meals for two as Rin settles into her new home.
