Daikichi Kawachi, a thirty-year-old bachelor, attends his grandfather's funeral only to discover the old man left behind a six-year-old daughter named Rin. When every relative refuses to take her in, embarrassed by the situation, Daikichi impulsively decides to raise her himself — despite having zero experience with children. His daily routine shifts to daycare drop-offs, parent-teacher meetings, and cooking meals for two as Rin settles into her new home.
