Before the events of the main Slayers story, Lina Inverse traveled with Naga the Serpent, and these light novels are where that stretch lives. Hajime Kanzaka writes them as self-contained short stories, one or two chapters apiece, rather than as a running plot: a job, a monster or a swindle, then the two sorceresses arguing over who did more of the work. The Lord of Nightmares and the sorcerer Lei Magnus appear among the supporting cast.
