超時空要塞マクロスII -Lovers Again-

Eighty years after Space War I, rookie reporter Hibiki Kanzaki films the Marduk fleet arriving over Earth and comes back with Ishtar, an Emulator whose songs drive the invaders' soldiers into combat. He keeps her in the city and starts showing her what human music is for, while ace pilot Silvie Gena works the defense from a cockpit. This six part OVA was made outside the main Macross continuity and runs as a parallel story.
