Years after a shoulder injury ended his run as a pitcher, Goro Shigeno trains to come back as a fielder, and his family cannot see why he keeps at it. His daughter Izumi knows him mostly as a father who is never home. This single OVA sits between the Major television seasons and Major 2nd, and it stays with the training and the household rather than with a pennant race.
