Jona Basta and Michele Luio were two of three children once celebrated as Miracle Children for foreseeing a colony drop; the third, Rita Bernal, disappeared along with the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex she was believed to control. When the golden machine resurfaces in U.C. 0097, the Earth Federation opens Operation Phoenix Hunt and sends Jona after it, with Zoltan Akkanen chasing the same prize. Harutoshi Fukui and Kouzou Oomori build this manga as a version that departs from the Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative film.
