Five years after Parn and his companions broke the armies of Marmo, their deeds are already told as legend on Lodoss and the survivors are treated as heroes. Then the Black Knight of Marmo returns, and the dark island stops being a story and becomes a present problem. Veterans answer the call while a younger set of fighters steps up beside them. This manga carries the Lodoss war chronicle past the first conflict into the next.
