Synopsis
Maquia belongs to the Iorph, a clan of weavers who stop aging in their mid-teens and live secluded from the outside world. When the kingdom of Mezarte invades to seize the secret of their longevity, Maquia escapes alone into the lowlands and discovers an orphaned infant she names Ariel. She raises him as her own, watching him grow from boy to man to old age while she remains unchanged.
