Swept along by accident when the Romany Kingdom summons a teenage girl as its Holy Maiden, workaholic accountant Seiichirou Kondou turns down a life of paid-for comfort and demands a job. Placed in the Royal Accounting Department, he sets about whipping lax colleagues and unchecked budgets into shape, until overwork nearly kills him. Commander Aresh Indolark steps in to save him, and the two end up in a physical relationship framed as medical treatment. This light novel is the original story behind the manga and anime.
