Nagisa Misumi is sporty and Honoka Yukishiro is bookish, and although they attend the same school they have almost nothing in common, until a shower of shooting stars drops two unlikely visitors into their lives. Mepple and Mipple are refugees from the Garden of Light, which the forces of darkness have conquered, and they give the girls the power to become Cure Black and Cure White, together known as Pretty Cure. This manga version ran as short comics alongside the TV anime.
