The Boy and the Beast

Nine-year-old Ren, orphaned and alone on the streets of Shibuya, stumbles through a hidden passage into Jutengai, a world of beast-people. There he is taken in by Kumatetsu, a brash bear-like warrior who renames the boy Kyuta and begins training him as a fighter. As years pass and Kyuta grows under Kumatetsu's rough care, a doorway back to the human world opens — and Kyuta must decide which world to call home.
