Tetsuo Takahashi, a high school biology teacher, has always wanted to meet a demi-human — and then three enroll in his school at once. Hikari Takanashi is a vampire who subsists on government-issued blood packs, Yuki Kusakabe is a snow woman whose body temperature drops when she gets anxious, and Kyouko Machi is a dullahan who carries her head in her arms. Takahashi begins conducting informal interviews with each of them, learning how their biology shapes their daily lives while a fellow teacher, the succubus Sakie Satou, tries to keep her own nature under wraps.
