Arakawa Under the Bridge

Kou Ichinomiya, heir to a corporate dynasty built on never owing anyone, falls into the Arakawa River and is rescued by Nino, a girl who claims to be from Venus and lives in a cardboard box under the bridge. To repay the debt, he agrees to become her boyfriend and moves in among the bridge's eccentric residents — a self-proclaimed kappa Village Chief, a star-masked musician called Hoshi, and a cast of oddballs who each live by their own peculiar logic.
