Arakawa Under the Bridge

Kou Ichinomiya, heir to a corporate empire, lives by one rule drilled into him since childhood: never owe anyone anything. When pranksters strand his trousers atop a bridge over the Arakawa River and he tumbles into the water, a girl named Nino pulls him out. To settle the debt he cannot stomach owing, she asks only one thing in return: that he love her. Kou ends up moving in beneath the bridge, among an Arakawa riverbank full of self-styled eccentrics.
