Synopsis
When her mother runs off with a boyfriend to dodge debt, sixteen-year-old Ohana Matsumae is sent to live with her estranged grandmother Sui Shijima, who runs a traditional hot-spring inn called Kissuisō in the countryside. Put to work immediately alongside fellow staff members Minko, an apprentice chef with no patience for newcomers, and the shy part-timer Nako, Ohana throws herself into inn life with more energy than skill, determined to earn her place.
