Fushi has spent forty years alone on a deserted island, fighting off Nokkers and stockpiling their cores, when Hisame arrives with the Guardians to pull him back into the world. Hisame claims descent from Hayase, the officer who hunted him in his first years of life. A grown Tonari resurfaces as a poison specialist, and the Beholder warns that Hayase's obsession may live on in her bloodline. This second season picks up after Fushi's self-imposed exile.
