Yu Narukami moves to the rural town of Inaba for a year with his uncle Ryotaro Dojima and cousin Nanako while his parents work abroad, and arrives just as a string of bodies starts appearing strung up on television antennas during foggy mornings. Together with classmates Yosuke Hanamura and Chie Satonaka, Yu learns that a rumoured Midnight Channel previews future victims by trapping them in a parallel world inside television sets. Awakening a Persona, the trio forms the Investigation Team to pull people out before the killer can reach them.
