Kumiko Omae and the Kitauji High concert band return from their qualifying round set on taking gold at the Kansai regional competition under instructor Noboru Taki. A training camp with visiting pro musicians pushes the ensemble harder, while Nozomi Kasaki, a second-year who quit during the previous fallout, asks to rejoin and reopens unresolved tension among Kumiko's classmates. This second TV season continues directly from the first, following the same band through its next competition cycle.
