Set decades before the main Magi story, these OVA episodes follow a young Sinbad growing up in the Parthevia Empire after his father Badr is lost to war. When the wandering Magi Yunan takes an interest in the boy, he points Sinbad toward a newly risen Dungeon, a tower of trials whose Djinn, Baal, answers only to the one who clears it. Clearing it sets Sinbad on the path to becoming the first Dungeon Capturer. The OVA is a prequel side story bundled with the manga.
