Wei Wuxian, back in the world thirteen years after his death and wearing the body of Mo Xuanyu, travels with Lan Wangji of the Gusu Lan Clan on the trail of a severed arm that slipped away from them. The limb is one piece of a fierce corpse someone is putting back together, and the search leads toward the demonic seal Wei Wuxian forged in his first life. This second season keeps the investigation moving while flashbacks return to his youth among the warring cultivation clans.
