At the request of the Karibusa family, the mushishi Ginko travels to oversee Kumado Minai, head of a local mushishi line, as he investigates an abandoned village where dead wood and even houses sprout back into living plants. As the two trace the source of the overgrowth, the duty that binds the Minai clan to the Karibusa household comes to light. This 45-minute special bridges the second season of Mushishi.
