Shigeo Kageyama, an unremarkable middle-schooler nicknamed Mob, holds psychic power strong enough to level a building, so he keeps his emotions tightly bottled to stop it from breaking loose. He works as an assistant to Arataka Reigen, a self-styled spirit medium who is really a con man, exorcising spirits for clients while Mob just wants the ordinary teenage life everyone else seems to have. As his suppressed feelings climb toward 100 percent, holding back gets harder.
