Mitsuha Miyamizu, a high schooler bored with life in the rural town of Itomori, wishes she could wake up as a boy in Tokyo. Soon she starts intermittently switching bodies with Taki Tachibana, a Tokyo high schooler and part-time waiter, each living the other's days without ever meeting. Leaving notes and rules behind to manage the swaps, the two grow closer and begin searching for the reason behind the strange link between them. This manga retells Makoto Shinkai's film, expanding scenes the movie kept brief.
