Alpha Hatsuseno is a gentle android who runs a small coffee shop on the outskirts of a Yokohama slowly reclaimed by the sea, in a future where the oceans have risen and humanity is quietly winding down. She tends the cafe alone, waiting for the owner who left her in charge, and serves the few travelers and neighbors who still pass through. When a fellow robot gives her a camera, Alpha begins venturing out to see more of the changed coast, settling into the unhurried days of a peaceful, fading world.
