Kiyotaka Ayanokouji moves into his second year at the Advanced Nurturing High School, where a class's worth in points buys everything and expulsion is always on the table. The first special exam pairs the second-years with incoming freshmen on a written test, with only the upperclassmen at risk if their partner fails. Among the new arrivals, Ichika Amasawa and others tied to the White Room circle Ayanokouji, and he must identify the planted rival sent to drive him out.
