Amu Hinamori is a grade-schooler at Seiyo Elementary whose cool, sharp-dressing image hides a shy girl who can never say what she means. After wishing for the courage to become her would-be self, she wakes to three colorful eggs that hatch into Guardian Characters: Ran, Miki, and Su, tiny embodiments of who she wants to be. The school's Guardians recruit Amu as the Joker, sent to find and purify corrupted X Eggs, while the Easter company hunts a wish-granting egg called the Embryo.
