At eleven, Kotoko Iwanaga was taken by yokai and made their God of Wisdom, a mediator between spirits and humans, giving up her right eye and her left leg in the bargain. Six years later she sets her sights on Kurou Sakuragawa, a university student newly single after fleeing a kappa encounter, and recruits him to help settle disputes brought by the supernatural. As Kotoko fabricates plausible explanations to lay troublesome spirits to rest, Kurou's own hidden nature proves stranger than any case she handles.
