Dale Reki, a seasoned adventurer heading home from a job, finds a small demon girl named Latina beside her dead guardian in the woods one night. Unable to leave her there, he brings her back to the Dancing Ocelot, the inn run by Kenneth and Rita where he lodges, and soon makes the only choice that feels right to him: to raise Latina as his own daughter. With help from the innkeepers and Latina's new schoolmates, the wary girl slowly settles into a gentler life.
