Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma

Soma Yukihira has spent his life cooking at his father Joichiro's family diner, aiming to surpass the old man's skills. When Joichiro closes the restaurant to travel abroad, he enrolls Soma at Totsuki Culinary Academy, an elite cooking school where students stake their careers on formal cooking duels called shokugeki. Soma clashes immediately with Erina Nakiri, the dean's granddaughter and possessor of a palate so refined it's called the God Tongue, while settling into the communal Polaris Dormitory alongside fellow newcomer Megumi Tadokoro.
