With the Great Tomb of Nazarick established as a power in the New World, Ainz Ooal Gown turns his attention outward. He sends the guardian Cocytus against the Lizardmen tribes of a nearby lake with an army of undead, partly to test how his Floor Guardians handle command. In the Re-Estize Kingdom's capital, the butler Sebas Tian uncovers a human trafficking ring and rescues Tuareninya Veyron, a choice that sits badly with Nazarick's ruthless ethos and draws Demiurge's suspicion.
