A fortune-telling game called Persona is meant to be a classroom dare, but it drops Naoya Toudou into a space between waking and dreaming where a masked figure named Philemon offers him a second self he can call on. His friends come out of the same encounter, and the visit they pay to Maki Sonomura in hospital turns when she disappears mid-surgery and the patients around them stop behaving like patients. This manga runs on the first Persona game's cast and its Philemon framing.
