彩雲国物語 彩雲国絵巻

Shurei Hong is a noblewoman with an empty purse and an ambition the law blocks: a post in the civil service of Saiunkoku, which does not appoint women. A salary offered to tutor Ryuki Shi, a young emperor who will not govern, is what gets her through the palace gates, with her adoptive brother Seiran standing at the emperor's shoulder as bodyguard. These nine recap episodes condense the first television season and aired in the gap before the second, so they summarize The Story of Saiunkoku rather than continue it.
