Orphen now knows what Azalie, the sorceress he once looked up to like a sister, is really after, and the answer sends him to Kimluck, a holy city whose church has no patience for graduates of the Tower of Fang. Cleao Everlasting and his apprentice Majic Lin travel with him, which puts two people with no sorcery of their own inside a city organized to hunt anyone who has it. This second season continues straight from the first.
