Nobita dreams of magic, and after stone statues that look exactly like him and Doraemon turn up in town, he gets his wish: using a gadget that rewrites reality, he turns the world into one where magic replaces science. The new world proves harder than expected, since neither of them can cast a spell, and frequent earthquakes seem to confirm the theory of the magic scholar Professor Mangetsu that the demon world is drawing closer to Earth. Nobita, Doraemon and Shizuka fly off to find the professor and meet Miyoko, the girl who lives with him.
