Teruaki Nakamura transfers from Tokyo to a high school in Okinawa and quickly falls for his outgoing classmate Hina Kyan — then discovers she speaks Uchinaaguchi, the Okinawan dialect, so thickly that he can barely understand a word. His classmate Kana agrees to interpret for him, though her own feelings for Teru add tension to the arrangement.
