Detective work brings Mikiya Kokutou to an abandoned bar where a gang of thugs has been killed, their limbs twisted off. Shiki Ryougi and her employer Touko Aozaki take the case. Mikiya meanwhile runs into Fujino Asagami, a quiet schoolgirl whose family has kept her nervous system dulled with drugs, leaving her unable to feel pain. As more bodies turn up around the city, Shiki closes in on the girl at the center of them. This third film in the Kara no Kyoukai cycle is told as a self-contained case.
