On Tanegashima island, Akiho Senomiya and her childhood friend Kaito Yashio are the only two members of Central Tanegashima High School's Robotics Club. Facing closure, Akiho fixates on building a full-size working robot modeled on the giant from her favorite anime, Gun-Varrel, and drags the laid-back, game-obsessed Kaito along. As Kaito recruits new members, a string of strange archived reports left by a man named Kou Kimijima points toward a far larger hidden threat.
