Renge Miyauchi and her schoolmates Hotaru, Komari, and Natsumi carry on at the Asahigaoka branch school, where the whole student body fits into a single classroom, in this third Non Non Biyori season. The premiere sends Renge to the bus stop to collect a visitor she has never met: Akane Shinoda, a shy high schooler who plays flute with Konomi Fujimiya and is thrown by Renge's antics on the walk into the village. Recorder practice, the candy shop, and the turning seasons fill out the rest of the country days.
