Synopsis
At the Death Weapon Meister Academy in Death City, students pair off as meisters and living weapons, training under the school's headmaster Shinigami. Maka Albarn wields a partner who can shift into a scythe, the wisecracking Soul Eater, and the two hunt corrupted souls in the hope of turning Soul into a true Death Scythe. Alongside fellow meisters Black Star and Death the Kid, Maka chases the ninety-nine evil souls and single witch her weapon must devour to reach that rank.
