Delinquent high schooler Jotaro Kujo manifests Star Platinum, a powerful guardian spirit called a Stand, and at first believes himself possessed. The Stands have awakened because DIO, the Joestar family's vampiric enemy, has resurfaced after decades on the ocean floor in Jonathan Joestar's stolen body. DIO's revival is killing Jotaro's mother through a Stand of her own, leaving him roughly fifty days to act. Joined by his grandfather Joseph Joestar and allies Avdol and Kakyoin, Jotaro sets out from Japan toward DIO in Egypt. This is Part 3 of the larger JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga.
