Yashiro runs a front company for the Shinseikai yakuza and holds a young boss's seat inside the organization, hiding a self-destructive masochism behind the role. When Chikara Doumeki, a stoic former police officer who lost his badge after a prison term, is hired as his bodyguard, Yashiro fixes on him despite a standing rule never to touch his own men. Doumeki keeps his distance for reasons of his own, and the two circle each other inside a violent world that leaves little room for what grows between them.
