Synopsis
During a stalemate in the war between the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon, teenager Amuro Ray ends up piloting the prototype RX-78-2 Gundam when Zeon raids the Side 7 colony. Joining the crew of the warship White Base, he repeatedly clashes with the masked Zeon ace Char Aznable as they push toward Federation lines. Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, character designer on the 1979 anime, retells that original story here, later expanding it with Char and Sayla's family history.
