Twelve years after the Ushiromiya family was wiped out on Rokkenjima, Ange Ushiromiya is the lone survivor and heir, isolated and friendless. Drawn in through a diary left by her cousin Maria, she becomes entangled in the metaphysical duel between Battler and the witch Beatrice over whether magic or human hands explain the killings. This fourth arc of the manga adaptation turns the story toward Ange's perspective.
